How to remove the sound from a video on iPhone
Short answer: in Photos, tap Edit on the video and tap the speaker icon to mute it. To get a separate silent copy, or to put different audio under the video, use Lunio → Remove or Replace Sound.
Built in: Photos
- Open the video in Photos and tap Edit.
- Tap the speaker icon so it shows as muted.
- Tap Done. (You can undo this later with Revert.)
With Lunio: a silent copy, or new sound
- In Lunio, tap Choose Video and pick the video.
- Tap Remove or Replace Sound.
- Remove Sound makes a silent copy; the picture is untouched.
- Replace Sound puts a clip from your Lunio Library under the video. Short clips repeat to fill it; the end fades out.
- Tap Save to Photos or Share.
Both are free.
