Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Lunio (“the App”) lets you extract audio from video, preview clips, export audio, and use optional features such as transcription and ringtone export. Lunio is designed to process content on your device. The developer does not operate a backend server for the App, and the App does not create accounts or register users.

2. Information We Collect

We do not sell personal data. We do not operate a server that receives your media, purchases, or account information from the App.

The App may process the following on your device only:

  • User content (on-device):videos and files you import or select, extracted audio clips stored in the App's container on your device, and related local library state.
  • App preferences and counters (on-device): selected export format; flags such as whether the first extraction has been completed, whether a tip prompt was dismissed, and whether the trim section is expanded; and counters used to decide when to request an App Store rating (session count, successful extraction count, and the date/version of the last rating prompt). These values are not personal identifiers and are not sent to the developer.
  • Support communications: if you email us, we process the information you include in that message.

3. In-App Purchases and Payments

Lunio may offer in-app purchases processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit / In-App Purchase:

  • Developer Tip (fox.apps.Lunio.tip.099) — consumable, USD $0.99 or the local equivalent shown by Apple. A tip does not unlock features and may be purchased more than once.
  • Pro Lifetime (fox.apps.Lunio.pro.lifetime) — non-consumable, USD $9.99 or the local equivalent. One-time purchase for Pro access.
  • Pro Yearly (fox.apps.Lunio.pro.yearly) — auto-renewable subscription, USD $14.99 per year or the local equivalent, with a 3-day free trial where offered by Apple, then billed annually until cancelled.

Pro removes limits and unlocks features such as batch extraction limits, MP3 320 kbps export, WAV export, transcription, and ringtone export.

Apple processes all payments. The App does not see or store payment-card details, Apple Account credentials, your name, or your email address from purchases. The developer has no backend that validates receipts. Pro status is read at launch from Apple's Transaction.currentEntitlements. The App does not write purchase receipts, transaction IDs, or purchase dates to disk.

Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account / App Store subscription settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies; the developer cannot process cancellations or refunds directly.

4. How Information Is Used

On-device data is used only to:

  • provide core features (import, extract, preview, export, trim, transcription, ringtone export),
  • remember your preferences and local UI state,
  • decide when to show Apple's rating prompt,
  • respond if you contact us by email.

5. On-Device Processing

Media processing for Lunio's core features happens on your device. Extracted audio clips remain in the App's container on your device and are not uploaded to the developer. Speech recognition, when used, runs on-device only: the App requires on-device recognition (requiresOnDeviceRecognition = true). Audio for transcription is not sent to Apple's servers for that feature. Speech recognition requires your permission.

The App includes an offline MP3 encoder (LAME) that runs on-device and does not contact external services.

6. Permissions and Access

Depending on your actions, Lunio may request:

  • Photos: read-only access to files you select yourself for import,
  • Files / document picker: to import or export media you choose,
  • Speech recognition: for optional on-device transcription,
  • Share Extension: when you share media or a link into Lunio.

You can revoke permissions at any time in iOS Settings.

7. Network Activity

Lunio contacts the network only when you choose to share a link from Instagram or TikTok so the App can fetch that clip. In those cases the App requests instagram.com or tiktok.com. Those services may see your IP address and user agent. Nothing from those requests is sent to the developer.

Aside from Apple's own StoreKit / App Store systems for purchases and ratings, the App does not send analytics, tracking, or advertising data to the developer or to third-party analytics SDKs.

8. Sharing and Third-Party Destinations

When you use Share/Export, content goes only to destinations you choose (for example Files, other apps, or services). Those destinations are governed by their own privacy policies. Instagram and TikTok are contacted only when you share a link from those services into Lunio, as described above.

9. What We Do Not Use

Lunio does not include:

  • user accounts or registration,
  • developer-operated backend or cloud sync,
  • third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs,
  • external dependencies other than the offline LAME MP3 encoder compiled into the App.

10. Data Retention

Media and local preferences remain on your device until you delete them or remove the App. The developer does not retain purchase receipts or transaction records from the App, because they are not stored by the App or sent to a developer server. If you contact us by email, we retain that correspondence as needed to respond.

11. Children's Privacy

Lunio is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

12. Your Rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights regarding personal data (such as access, correction, deletion, or restriction). For most App data, control is on your device (delete media or uninstall the App). For email you send us, contact: alex@alexframe.dev.

13. International Use

If you use Lunio from different regions, local legal requirements may apply in addition to this policy.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will reflect the latest revision.

Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using Lunio, you agree to these Terms.

2. License

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Lunio for lawful personal use.

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • use Lunio only with content you own or are authorized to process,
  • comply with applicable copyright, privacy, and other laws,
  • not misuse, interfere with, reverse engineer, or abuse the App.

4. Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the media and links you import, convert, store, or share using Lunio.

5. Intellectual Property

Lunio, including its design, branding, and software, is owned by Oleksandr Yehorov (except third-party components used under their own licenses, including the LAME MP3 encoder).

6. Prohibited Uses

You may not use Lunio to:

  • infringe intellectual property or privacy rights,
  • process or distribute unlawful material,
  • attempt unauthorized access to systems, networks, or data.

7. In-App Purchases

Lunio may offer the following purchases via Apple In-App Purchase:

  • Developer Tip (consumable, USD $0.99 or local equivalent) — voluntary support; does not unlock features, remove limits, or change App behavior; may be purchased repeatedly.
  • Pro Lifetime (non-consumable, USD $9.99 or local equivalent) — one-time purchase for ongoing Pro access.
  • Pro Yearly (auto-renewable subscription, USD $14.99/year or local equivalent) — includes a 3-day free trial where offered; then renews annually until cancelled.

Pro unlocks features such as higher batch limits, MP3 320 kbps, WAV export, transcription, and ringtone export. Prices and taxes are shown by Apple before you confirm. Payment is charged to your Apple ID. Payment processing is handled by Apple; we do not process payments ourselves.

Auto-renewable subscriptions renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period (or as otherwise required by Apple). Manage or cancel in Apple Account / App Store subscription settings. Refund requests are handled by Apple under Apple's refund policies.

8. Availability and Changes

Features may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time.

9. Disclaimer

Lunio is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Oleksandr Yehorov is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data/profits arising from use of Lunio.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Oleksandr Yehorov from claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses resulting from your misuse of Lunio or violation of these Terms.

12. Termination

Access to Lunio may be suspended or terminated if these Terms are violated.

13. Governing Framework

These Terms are interpreted and enforced to the extent permitted by applicable law. Where mandatory consumer protections apply under local law, those protections remain unaffected.

14. Apple App Store Notice

If you obtained Lunio through Apple's App Store:

  • these Terms are between you and Oleksandr Yehorov, not Apple,
  • Apple is not responsible for Lunio or related claims beyond obligations imposed by law,
  • for auto-renewable subscriptions, Apple's standard App Store subscription terms also apply.
