1. Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how Words (“the App”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use our iOS and iPadOS word game.

The App has no user accounts. We do not sell your personal data.

2. Information stored on your device

Your scores, statistics, daily streak, and settings are stored locally on your device. They are not sent to our servers and are removed when you delete the App.

3. Third-party services

The App uses the following third-party services, which may collect data as described in their own policies:

• Google AdMob (Google LLC) – optional rewarded video ads that you choose to watch.
• Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics (Google LLC) – anonymous usage statistics and crash reports.
• Apple Game Center (Apple Inc.) – leaderboards, if you are signed in to Game Center.
• Apple App Store (Apple Inc.) – processing of the optional “Remove Ads” purchase. We never receive your payment details.

These services may collect information such as:

• Device information (model, OS version, language)
• Advertising identifiers (e.g. IDFA, only if you allow tracking)
• IP address and general location derived from IP
• Usage data, crash data, and interaction with advertisements

Google's privacy practices are described in Google's Privacy Policy and Apple's in Apple's Privacy Policy. Our authorized ad seller declaration is published at alexframe.dev/app-ads.txt.

4. How we use information

Collected information is used to:

• Show the rewarded video ads you choose to watch
• Measure ad performance and prevent fraud
• Fix crashes and improve stability and performance
• Understand aggregate usage patterns

5. Consent and your choices

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, the App asks for your consent before requesting ads. You can change that choice at any time in the App under Stats & Settings → Privacy choices.

The App also asks for permission to track through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can change it in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. If you decline, ads are not personalised using your advertising identifier.

Daily reminder notifications are optional, are scheduled on your device, and can be turned off in the App or in iOS Settings.

6. Children's privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data through the App, contact us at alex@alexframe.dev.

7. Data retention

Data collected by third-party partners is retained according to their policies. Local game data on your device remains until you delete the App or clear its data.

8. Your rights

Depending on your region, you may have rights regarding personal data (such as access, deletion, or objection). Contact alex@alexframe.dev for questions or requests.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
